WHAT IS THAT ROADWAY?

For quite a while after moving to Eugene, Oregon I had a difficult time remembering whether the numbered roadways (1st, 2nd, 3rd...), which happen to run east and west in Eugene, are referred to as streets or avenues. Finally, after living here for about a year I hit upon an easy way to remember. One of the popular spots in town is called the Fifth Street Market and is located on, of course, 5th Avenue!
